14th January wedding

An early start this morning for TheMakeupGirl Team, we were at The Inn Woburn – Beds to beautify the lovely bride Sarah and her bridal party of 3 bridesmaids and mum-of-groom (MOG) The ceremony was taking place at the Abbey and then the reception at The Sculpture Gallery. A gorgeous, crisp, sunny day.
Sarah chose to wear her hair part up with loose curls. Her complexion was flawless, Sarah doesn’t usually wear any make up so didn’t want to look plastered on her wedding day! She wanted to look radiant and beautiful and still remain recognisable by here guests and most importantly by her groom (James)
Congratulations Sarah & James, we wish you a very happy future together as Mr & Mrs

The Studio

There have also been some exciting developments with the Studio! It has had a much needed makeover and is now a chic and stylish boutique, functional yet comfortable and welcoming. Open to clients by appointment only Mon-Sun (no I don’t need a day off – days off are for wimps…lol)
The Make up Girl Studio website should go live this week very exciting. On offer there are make up lessons from day looks to full on glamour, DIY eyelash enhancements application, how to create a salon professional hairstyle in minutes as well as tips on how to dress for your body shape, size and how to put an outfit together for an occasion or day to day. We also offer Hen Party Makeovers, Make up Parties for Groups, these make great corporate events and special birthday parties (30th, 40th)

First Wedding of 2011, 1/1/11

On New Years Day at 7.45am I was en-route to Hunton Park in Hertfordshire to prepare Louise (bride) and her 3 bridesmaids and 2 mums for a the wedding ceremony to take place around midday.
It was still dark and it felt like middle of the night as some party goers were heading home after their NYE celebrations had come to an end, just as I was heading to work! How times change, not so long ago that would have been me but now I need and value my beauty sleep and above all a clear head for work

10th July at Notley Abbey

Beautiful Wedding Venue Near Thame/Oxford

Today my travels took me to the very picturesque and tranquil settings of Notley Abbey, situated just outside of Thame Notley Abbey dates back to the 12th century and is thoroughly modernised bringing it into the 21st century. The venue boasts fabulous grounds and therefore wonderful photo opportunities. My bride Stacy who was getting married here is originally from Kent but fell in love with Notley Abbey after having researched many venues in Kent and surrounding counties she felt that it justified the extra travel for her and her guests, I agree!
