My top lipbalms to help keep your lips soft and kissable throughout winter, lets face it ladies – cracked, chapped, dry and flaky lips are not attractive!

1, Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream – this is my favourite and I can’t live without this product also good on dry cuticles! Or you can buy the Lip Protectant only – around £25 or more!

2, Kiehl’s Lip Balm – is available in Cranberry, Mango and Vanilla flavours. I prefer the original – £9.50

3, Burt’s Bees Natural Lip Balm – with coconut and sunflower oils to nourish and soften lips – £3.49

4, Carmex – an old favourite and now in Cherry Flavour perfect handbag size – £2.44

We are excited about our new 6 Day Bridal Hair & Make up Course, everything you need to know about specialising in beautifying brides from the traditional to the contemporary. There have also been some exciting developments with the Studio! It has had a much needed makeover and is now a chic and stylish boutique, functional yet comfortable and welcoming. Open to clients by appointment only Mon-Sun (no I don’t need a day off – days off are for wimps…lol)

The Make up Girl Studio website should go live this week very exciting. On offer there are make up lessons from day looks to full on glamour, DIY eyelash enhancements application, how to create a salon professional hairstyle in minutes as well as tips on how to dress for your body shape, size and how to put an outfit together for an occasion or day to day. We also offer Hen Party Makeovers, Make up Parties for Groups, these make great corporate events and special birthday parties (30^th, 40^th)

A Busy Summer

It’s been somewhat of a manic summer, between May-September there have been a massive 55 weddings that have taken place all those gorgeous brides that have been beautified along with their bridesmaids and mums! Grand venues have been visited around Herts, Beds, Bucks, London, and Essex. I have managed to avoid numerous traffic jams with my amazing organisational skills and always having a Plan B and C at hand.

I have had a few great assistants help me this summer – thank you ladies! You have all been great. I would like to add that my assistants trained with me at http://makeupgirltraining.co.uk in the Intensive Make-up Diploma. (Assistants -Bina Tanna, Chloe Hiskett and Joey Hargreaves)
